Witam. Mam problem z packet lostami. Jak pinguje www.wp.pl z serwera nie ma żadnych strat pingi z czasem 30~40 ms. Zapuszczając pinga z komputera podpiętego pod serwer eth1 mam czasy 50~60 ms i średnio co 10 pakiet to lost a nawet kilka z rzędu - zrywa mi połączenie gg. Komp to Celeron 300 i 128 ramu. Łącze do neta to 6mb neostrada. Czego to może być wina?

Na serwie działa niceshaper, mrtg i statystyka ilości połączeń.

Zaznaczam również, że do serwera jest podpiętych w porywach do 2 osób, wiec to nie przez zapchanie łącza. Nie mam na kompie żadnych robali ani innego świństwa. Gdzie pies pogrzebany?

Po pierwsze pinguj coś innego niż wp, tam zdarzają się utraty pakietów. Po drugie sprawdź w logach (kernel) i przejrzyj dmesg, czy nie ma jakichś problemów z kartą na serwerze, czasem błędy pokazuje również ifconfig. Szczególnie radziłbym na to zwrócić uwagę, jeśli karta to rtl8139. Przyczyny mogą leżeć również po stronie komputera klienckiego.

Ups właśnie zobaczyłem, że mój plik /var/log/auth zajmuje ponad 90 MB to chyba nie jest normalne? Ktoś się chciał włamać? Co mam z tym zrobić?

Tak zrobiłem. A co do pakiet lostów?

Ma ktoś jakaś rade na te błędy CRC i rozłączanie modemu?

Witam po raz kolejny.

Znalazłem (niby) rozwiązanie tych błędów CRC, a mianowicie:

Tylko niestety dodanie:

Na nich podobno nie ma już tego problemu z błędami CRC, a niestety nie potrafię ich zainstalować ze źródeł.
