Witam Zainstalowalem Debiana na laptopie. Wersja aktualna bez x-ow. I jest maly problem. Wentylator na procesorze kreci sie caly czas na najwyzszych obrotach. Napewno sie nie przegrzewa bo laptop jest dodatkowo chlodzony podstawka. Caly ogolnie jest zimny. Pod XP jest ok. Czy da sie cos z tym zrobic? Pozdrawiam |

But, it works at full speed all the time which is annoying and drains the battery. The solution is to fix the DSDT of the buggy BIOS. I found a guide here http://www.amilo-forum.de/htopic,5337,linux+acpi.html. The fixed DSDT is also available at http://acpi.sourceforge.net/ which should save you some work. To use this DSDT, you have to use a patched kernel. I use the "ACPI DSDT in initrd" patch available at http://gaugusch.at/kernel.shtml When this patch and DSDT are in place, you can enable thermal fan throttling with
